The Mid Century Furniture of the Hit Series MAD MAN 0000

Ever since the hit Mad Men first aired in 2007, it has captured the attention of audiences with its detailed depiction of mid-century furniture and style. From the fashion to the interiors, the series’ 1960s-inspired design is as sleek as it is glamorous.

Mad Men was not only one of the best dramas on television, it also debuted with perfect timing, at a moment when America’s fascination with mid-century furniture was at a fever pitch. And the truth is that some years later, the frenzy for furniture and fashion of the 1960s is still hot.

With the passage of time, mid-century style has become mainstream, and many retail chains and upscale shops regularly offer furnishings influenced by mid-century design. To prime Mad Men fans for the series’ final episodes, the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens has opened an exhibition of the show’s sets, costumes, scripts, and props. This is a great oportunity for the fans to see live how to use mid-century furniture and how to accomplish the perfect mad man style furniture in their own interiors.
