Dear Alice,
Is it acceptable, in lieu of food, to bring a bottle of wine to a potluck? Obviously, if everyone did this, there would be no food at said potluck, which is sort of the point. But is it ok for me to bring wine, and hope that other people will bring actual food? Or do I need to get something pre-prepared or a sad plate of grocery store cookies? (Trust me, my friends do not want me to cook.)
