Have you heard about ”disappearing” architecture? buildings that master the art of camouflage by way of mirrored walls, hologram-style images, or other such trickery.

The aptly titled Mirror House boasts a boxy aluminum frame covered in mirrored glass, which not only looks super rad but also allows for huge windows without sacrificing the privacy of the people inside.

The creators? Johan Selbing and Swiss landscape architect Anouk Vogel and the idea was to have a box that not only disappears in the forest, but also offers 360-degree views. Interesting fact to keep birds and the like from flying into the walls, the box is coated with an infrared film that’s invisible only to human eyes.

“The dynamic facade creates an optic effect. If you walk towards trees you see trees,” write the architects.
