What I Love About My Small Home:
I love our kitchen, which I got to design and gut renovate. It has plenty of countertop space for cooking and prepping, and I designed one side of our galley kitchen to wrap around the wall into the living room and serve as a four-person table. Having the kitchen open into the living room makes for a great entertaining space, where we have hosted as many as 15 guests at a seated meal.

Our balcony is also a favorite feature of our small home. When we bought our apartment, the balcony was a bare concrete slab with peeling paint, but we added wood pavers, a bistro table, lounge chairs, and plants. I also built a light wall with string lights and a vintage metal Coca Cola sign that provides enough light for dining al fresco after dark.
