- What I Love About My Small Home:
- By day, I’m a tax accountant who deals with numbers, rules, and regulations, but my tiny apartment is anything but buttoned up! Located just two minutes via skywalk from my high rise office building in downtown Des Moines, Iowa, my studio apartment is located in the historic Fleming Building with a quirky mix of modern and historical features. I fell in love with the original sky high windows with a view of the gold dome of the State Capital Building and the modern loft design. I describe my design style as “hodgepodge” with dollops of whimsy and color. Every square foot counts in this tiny space, so each piece of furniture and object had to pass the test; is it functional or does it make me smile?
What would I use the prize money for in my apartment? I’d love a sofa and love seat upgrade to something more squishy and a coffee table with personality.
