Like a lot of so-called “temporary solutions,” Angelica of Once Again, My Dear Irene wound up using two IKEA LACK coffee tables as nightstands for five years, despite their less-than-ideal low height. Still, they were inexpensive and did the job…until she found a way to turn them into something that both looked and functioned better by the bed.
