Our Edwardian flat in South East London was the ground floor of a house that was sort of split into flats when we bought it. We converted it from a one bed to a two bed flat, which involved a lot of wallpaper stripping (like, from every room) and a few unexpected discoveries along the way. We tried to do it as cheaply as possible but as it was our first renovation we made some mistakes and spent money where we could have saved, had we been more experienced.
