By the time you read this, I’ll be sleeping under the stars in northern Scotland, nothing but a thin piece of nylon protecting me from the barrels of rain and arctic temps I assume my “summer” holiday will deliver. I’m not a serious camper; my experience is limited to childhood outings with the Girl Guides and music festivals in the UK, but I enjoy it, and I’ve learned a thing or two from my forays.
