Moving into this space was a struggle for me, because I’m a born and bred Chicagoan who moved into a trendier neighborhood from the very residential Northwest Side as soon as I could. But, as the Northwest Side is much cheaper, I moved back. And it was kind of an unwelcome coming home for me. To make the best of what I thought was a bad situation, I threw myself into decorating my first “big girl” apartment. It was more than double the size of my last place, so I had a lot of work to do.
