My husband and I just finished renovating our 1940s, 800 square foot home near Ocean Beach. We fell in love with the neighborhood, the east/west light in our house, and the huge backyard. But we knew we’d have to do a pretty significant renovation — there were no appliances in the kitchen when we bought it, and the bathroom was a pretty depressing pink and brown tile (that we almost lived with but made a game-time decision to tear out).
