This is not a $48K bed. Merely a $7.6K bed.
I was reading an article about the arrest of Mark Karpeles, former CEO of Bitcoin exchange Mt. Gox, and an odd detail caught my eye: he is accused of stealing millions of dollars from clients, $48K of which he allegedly spent on a luxury canopy bed. My mind tried to picture what such a bed for such a price would even look like and I came up blank. The beds I covet top off around 3-4K, so what would an addition 45K look like? Time to go virtual shopping.
