Spanish brand Nanimarquina has recruited fashion designer Sybilla to design a suite of geometric rugs, each of which presents a boldly graphic, contemporary version of traditional Pakistani Kilim carpets. Called Mélange, the collection is, according to Nanimarquina, “the perfect combination of tradition and modernity, fashion and home, craft and design, past and future.” The Mélange, collection is distinguished by a range of abstract repeat patterns and a color scheme limited primarily to black, white and red.
