Trade show season may have barely launched, but already one trend that shows no signs of passing is the preoccupation with gold. As illustrated by last month’s IMM Cologne, golden finishes continue to mark some of the more notable new furnishings making their debut in 2015.
Danish brand Gubi led the pack with new versions of its bestselling TS Table, Semi Pendant and Beetle Lounge Chair (featured above), each of which was freshly accessorized in brassy tones. Felow Danish company Menu introduced an elegant marble and brass vanity mirror created by Studiopepe; and Studio Berg, headed by the young Berlin-based industrial designer Friederike Delius, debuted the most glamorous drying clothes rack ever, with Foldwork, a geometric hanging rack crafted entirely from brass elements.
