From the architect. The challenge of this residence was the need for an ample leisure space required by the owners. Therefore the strategy of this project was to raise the main rooms to the upper floor and release the ground level.

Therefore, the first level becomes a large area of leisure, alternating between open/covered and indoor/outdoor spaces. This level also houses the utility room, the library, and the guest room.

The upper floor is distributed in two separate areas – the social area, located in the northern portion of the terrain, and the private area, located in the southern part of the lot – connected by a walkway.

With this arrangement, all everyday family activities take place on the upper floor, eliminating the stairs from the routine of the residents.

The geometry of higher volume, which is a particular combination based on the lot’s shape with analyses relevant to the site, provides adequate natural lighting and ventilation, privacy control, and framing of the surrounding perspectives.
