Geometry, architectural lines, and jewelry come together marvelously in artist Phoebe Porter’s latest collection, Construct. With a heavy Bauhaus influence, bold color creates sharp contrasts with light and heavy lines to create sculptural pieces of wearable art.

Keeping with a restrained palette of colors, Phoebe also uses minimal, basic shapes to reduce the jewelry to its simplest expression, emphasizing clarity and form. Their shapes, while minimal, are also constructed with carefully chosen materials that best perform their function, whether it be a clasp or an earring. Thus, all pieces in Construct are meant to be worn—that come alive when on the body but also stand alone as a sculptural object.
