We teamed up with Building Pictures, Filipa Figueira and Tiago Vieira to feature weekly episodes of their video series “,” which highlights ‘s most significant buildings over the last two decades.

The series launched in 2013 and is composed of 10 episodes, each focusing on a different theme: light, stairs, balconies, nature, textures, doors, windows, skylights, pavements and structures.

Last week we featured the series’ ninth episode about Porto’s pavements, and now we present Episode 10 – Structures. Read the producers’ description of the series’ last episode after the break.

EPISODE 10 – STRUCTURES

In the end we run. We run like a child towards new adventures and through the most basic element of architecture: its structure. We start at Siza’s Serralves Foundation, FAUP, and the S. Bento Metro Station, before moving on to the round columns of Eduardo Souto de Moura’s Casa da Música Metro Station and OMA’s Casa da Música. We jump through Adalberto Dias’ Casas Brancas Housing Block, run to José Manuel Soares’ Porto Planetarium and meander down Manuel de Solá-Morales’ Passeio Atlântico. In the end we run for as long as we can around ARX’s Blood Bank.
