Art Basel 2015 stages the world’s premier Modern and contemporary art shows, held annually in Basel, Miami Beach, and Hong Kong. Founded by gallerists in 1970, Art Basel has been a driving force in supporting the role that galleries play in the nurturing of artists, and the development and promotion of visual arts.

Fraenkel Gallery is pleased to present Richard Misrach: Being(s) 1975-2015, on view from April 9 – May 30, 2015. This survey exhibition traces the appearance of the human figure in Misrach’s photographs across the entire span of his career, from 1975 to the present.
The exhibition brings together a new body of work which, according to the artist’s working method, looks at first glance like mere objects of everyday life, metal suitcases or steel filing cabinets, which evoke the idea of the commercial gallery or the office.
