Despite Uber’s questionable data practices in the past, it’s being used for good in Boston. The city is the first to tap into the startup’s ride patterns to to see, on a broad (and anonymous) scale, where people go throughout the day. They hope to use that information to plan better public transportation, roads, and housing.
