Fuse is a strong, graphic cabinet that explores the art of wood craftsmanship by combining two natural materials in an unnatural way. Black marble and fine basalt in resin are layered at an angle with cedar wood, creating a sharp, zig zag geometric shape.
To create this look, the designers, Studio Truly Truly, sanded the wood at irregular contours, creating an organic shape. Interestingly, both the wood and marble were treated the same, but have a very contrasting look. As a result, the marble looks like it’s seamlessly blending into the cedar, winding around the cabinet while also holding it together.
