Austin, Texas
Austin will host the 3rd edition of the Austin Design Week (November 5–9), celebrating innovation and bringing the design community together for a weeklong series of free talks, workshops, and studio tours. Aside from scheduled events, visitors will find plenty to do in Austin, from visiting Ellsworth Kelly’s new building and work of art, Austin, at the Blanton Museum of Art at The University of Texas to sampling the local food scene.
Nashville, Tennessee
Much like Austin, Nashville also has the Nashville Design Week (November 8–15), presenting a weeklong series of exhibits, talks, tours, and workshops that showcase the thriving local design community. The Music City is now filled with new hotels, restaurants, bars, and shops making it one of the South’s most enticing destinations.
Lima, Peru
Lima Design Week will take place November 6–18, bringing an estimated 10,000 visitors to the Peruvian capital to discover the latest in Latin American design. This amazing city has a lot to offer, from a stunning coastline to incredible museums, but the most compelling reason to go might be for its incredible restaurant scene.
Dubai, U.A.E.
Dubai Design Week will have its 4th edition, taking place November 12–17, with the aim of cementing Dubai’s place as the Middle East’s capital of design. During the course of six days, more than 230 events will take place in the Dubai Design District (d3) and around the city, including a trade fair, exhibitions, pop-ups, workshops, talks, and more.
Amsterdam, The Netherlands
The World Architecture Festival has been called the “Oscars of architecture,” with awards being given for both completed and future projects around the world. This year’s event, which takes place at the RAI Amsterdam on November 28–30, will be the largest to date, drawing leading architects from around the globe.
