What I Love About My Small Home:
It is located in the heart of the old town of Gdansk in a building rebuilt after WW2. I treat the area as my living room, since all the lovely cafes, eateries and pubs are within a 5-minute walk and the atmosphere here is magical.
My flat is full of light (huge windows with sills big enough to accommodate a person or two cats), cozy, compact and easy to clean. I love the 1950’s floor and my best purchase ever – the small desk with a 1954 sewing machine (still in perfect shape) hidden inside. And the tongue-in-cheek caricature of my father, drawn by some artist in some remote corner of the world.
My studio flat supports the minimalist lifestyle I’ve chosen – less wasted space, less electricity used, less driving and more walking, less time to clean and more time to enjoy my life (and play with my 2 cats!).
