Facebook’s free internet initiative for developing countries, Internet.org, announced today that it’s expanding its reach by opening the platform to all developers. Facebook launched the project last year with a select group of partners, including BBC and Wikipedia, in 14 countries. Now any site or company can create low-bandwidth sites and content delivery platforms that global internet users can access for free.
