Amazon is going after the makers. Last week, the e-commerce giant started sending messages to Etsy sellers that direct them to a form thanking them for their interest in Handmade at Amazon, and ask about their business and what items they sell. While Etsy’s seller fees are notably lower than Amazon’s, this could pose a threat to the Brooklyn-based maker site.
