Completed images of OMA‘s design for the 2015 Venice Art Biennale’s Chinese Pavilion have been released. Juxtaposing artworks “in a field of projections and stages,” the exhibition is designed to be an “immersive environment” that brings together work by Tan Dun, Liu Jiakun, Lu Yang, Wu Wenguang / Caochangdi Work Station and Wen Hui / Living Dance Studio under the theme “Other Future.”
The exhibition was designed by OMA Asia in collaboration with curatorial advisor Kayoko Ota. The design team is led by Director Dongmei Yao, Architects Wanyu He and Long Yu, and Partner Michael Kokora. The 56th International Art Exhibition runs until November 22, 2015.
“Other Future” follows OMA’s recent involvement with the 2014 Venice Biennale, in which Rem Koolhaas directed the 14th International Architecture Exhibition, Fundamentals.
