The neoclassic design style has a varied colour palette with colours such as cream, grey, blue, yellow and green taking the centre stage whereas tones like lustre black, red, gold and silver are mostly used as patches of colour to highlight the overall style.

Usually, neoclassical furniture is rather symmetrical. In an interior design with such a theme, you can expect to see dark wood furniture, embellished ornaments, stone and marble floors and even Persian carpets. Fabrics also play an important role in this style, they are often more luxurious than ostentatious, such as damask silk, brocade, linen, and, of course, velvet.
