Our biggest challenge was making a relatively dark office feel light, open and airy. We did this through a combination of finish selection (light grey stains on the floors, white wall throughout) and space planning.
All though it may not look like it, this kitchen was done on a budget. We reused the reclaimed shelving from their old office. Source brackets from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000AXWSJI/ref=sr_ph_1?m=A2BBUA7LL95L5R&ie=UTF8&qid=1436277368&sr=1&keywords=brackets) and painted them the same color as the cabinetry. The cabinet color: Farrow and Ball, Purbeck Stone. The sink, faucet, and butcherblock countertops are from Ikea. We bleached the countertops 3 times before sealing them to get them ….
Residential touches throughout were very important. The mix of lighting, antique hardware, art and furniture were selected for a collected, comfortable esthetic.
