To be in love with our work is always the key to achieve better results. Are you in love with this job? What do you love most about being a lighting designer?
We are lighting designers and we make complete service to the customers: lighting design, delivery and installation. We make both, outdoor lighting and interior lighting.
We can work in 2 directions:
Being the authors of the light design (what usually happens in case of public projects) we make lighting concept, we choose the proper lighting fittings, we make lighting calculations and we give the 3D simulations to the customer. When the concept is accepted we make lighting design drawings, delivery and installation;
On the other hand, if we are working with designers, we invite them to our office and we present them many catalogues. We help them making their choice in luminaires, make lighting calculations and the delivery of the fittings.

Do you have a favorite project or a favorite story about one of your projects?
We would say that Evolution Tower is our favorite project. We began working on it in 2012 and we still are. It is a long story project, very interesting, and complicated, I would say. There are many different areas illuminated there, the project had many stages.

How important is to have the perfect chemistry between you and your clients in order to achieve the best results?
Of course it is important. It is important to understand the client, to listen to him. And of course you have to be a person who know what he does. The customer should believe you. And the best way to gain belief is to be right, to prove it on life examples… So the most important things are experience in your work and being able to talk to people, to communicate. You don’t have to be aggressive, you just need to be helpful. The customer hires you not to be proved in anything, he hires you to get help and support and of course to get a beautiful lighting (and not to be proved something).

Do you think working with teams is better or worse than working alone? Why?
Yes, we think that working in a team is better. You need to have several opinions at least to choose best one or to make the best one combining several opinions. And of course the more yes you have the more mistakes you can avoid in the process.

How would you describe your work style? Do you have any kind of “signatures” that may help to identify your projects?
No. In case we were working with designers we mainly follow his needs: he says what he wants, and we try to find the best solutions in view, quality and price to him. In case we working as a lighting concept designer ourselves, we follow the building or place architecture and try to emphasize it using the light.

All artists need some inspirations to work. So, what or who really inspires you?
As the lighting designers, light is what inspire us the most, of course.
