It’s that time of the year that everyone loves in Milan. Why? After New York and London’s fashion week, it’s time to talk about Milan to remind the world how exactly, fashion Italians designers do it better, and nothing better that remind fashion lovers of Milan Fashion Week 2016 Spring/Summer! This spring/summer 2016 calendar also features some unexpected and never-before-seen BIG surprises. These are the ones creating the most buzz…even before Milan Fashion Week 2016 Spring/Summer didn’t started!

Peter Dundas for Roberto Cavalli

Earlier this year it was announced that Peter Dundas would take over Roberto Cavalli’s spot, as the company’s Creative Director. Though Dundas x Roberto Cavalli were absent from the men’s fashion week calendar this past June, the Norwegian-American will finally make his grand debut this Saturday, cheered on by Cavalli campaign girl Ciara in the front row.

Emilio Pucci by Massimo Giorgietti

When Dundas left Emilio Pucci for the Cavalli gig, it took MSGM founder Massimo Giorgetti’s career to new heights, as he was appointed Creative Director of the Florentine maison. Back in June, Giorgietti gave us a taste of what to expect from his version of Pucci, in a capsule collection titled “The Pilot Episode”, presented at Pitti Immagine Uomo. This fashion week however, he’ll give us the real deal. Whether it will be similar to the sexy Emilio Pucci glamour we’ve become accustomed to over the years – or if he’ll revamp the brand in a way Alessandro Michele did at Gucci – is the million dollar question

Moschino’s latest moves

Jeremy Scott’s tongue-in-cheek ways with the Moschino brand, have turned the womenswear show into the must-attend of Milan’s fashion calendar. In the season that followed, he turned the catwalk into his very own Barbie world, creating a collective desire for bright pink and big hair. In his most recent collection, which was sent down the runway in February, he made Looney Tunes-plastered shirts and accessories the new black. Perhaps that a superheroes theme for spring/summer 2016 would be too easy, nonetheless it shall be revealed September 24th what the US designer has up his sleeves.

Armani’s protégé

There’s only one Armani, but every season “il re della moda” introduces the media at large to a new designer, by offering an emerging name a one of a kind platform: a fashion show inside the Armani headquarters on Via Bergognone. This season, Milan-based Israeli Daizy Shely is the chosen one, following in the footsteps of designers including Stella Jean and Andrea Pompilio.Creative director and president for J.Crew Jenna Lyons kneels as she looks on as the Chromat 2016 Spring collection is modeled during Fashion Week Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, in New York.
