RFR and Foster + Partners have released new images of On Hundred East 53rd Street (formerly known as 610 Lexington Avenue), a 63-story luxury residential tower in New York next to Mies van der Rohe’s famed Seagram Building. The skyscraper, which was announced last year, will contain 94 residences, a swimming pool, wellness facility, spa, library and sitting rooms, and its trademark Foster minimalism is intended to “provide a counterpoint to the Seagram’s bronze edifice,” according to the developers RFR.

Working alongside Foster + Partners, designer William T Georgis will work on the project’s interiors, providing furnishings for the building’s amenity spaces and the residential lobby. His will combine with a range of location-specific artworks to make One Hundred East 53rd Street what RFR calls the “highest-quality residential building they have ever sponsored.”

“Each home is designed for those who have an appreciation of art, architecture and culture, and each unit’s systems and finishes are keenly tuned to contemporary living,” explains the project’s developer and founder of RFR Aby Rosen. “The combination of timelessness and innovation will resonate with our future residents, who promise to form a community of diverse, yet uniquely discerning neighbors.”
