What I Love About My Small Home:
What I love most about my home is its 1900’s charm. Built in 1904, it has high ceilings, lots of natural light (great southern exposure), fir floors and it’s in a fantastic/quirky neighborhood that puts on concerts in our beautiful community park throughout the summer. Our french doors off the dining area open to a large deck flanked by a beautiful (but aggressive) Wisteria. We’re 5 minutes away from the marina and downtown, but sheltered in a cool community of caring neighbors. Our yard is fully fenced for our pit-mix, Gertie, and filled with flowers (I love to garden.) We also just received 18 solar panels thanks to a generous grant via Kulshan CLT. If it weren’t for the Kulshan Community Land Trust (helping low-income people achieve home ownership) we would not have our wonderful little house. (http://www.kulshanclt.org)
