Finnish Form, created by Tent, aims to showcase the future form of Finnish design; illustrated through a curated presentation of 18 designers, brands and manufacturers, building toward Finland’s centenary celebrations in 2017.
With its iconic classics, Finland has a long history in furniture design.
Finnish design showed its new form at Tent London. The Finnish Design Pavilion alongside eleven other country showcases form a cross section of the international field of design. With its iconic classics Finland has a long history in furniture design. Finnish Form brings the new and the interesting from the Finnish design scene to the London Design Festival.
In addition to the makers of 2015 the Finnish Form pays tribute to a legend. Juhani Pallasmaa, architect, professor and writer, will give a lecture as a part of the Super Talks programme. The talk is about the famous Finnish artist, craftsman and designer, Tapio Wirkkala. Wirkkala (1915-1985) worked in various materials and media, clients including world known companies in Finland as well as Italy, Germany and Mexico.
