Alex de Witte is an industrial designer from Goes, Netherlands and surprised everybody with his latest light creations.
The latest work by Alex is the Big Bubble, a lamp made of blown glass and looks like a bubble was dropping from your ceiling. He had got his inspiration for this amazing light made of blown glass from one of the favourite children’s pastimes – blowing bubbles.
The light is a testament to modern design and an organic creating process. There are no two Big Bubble Lights alike, each one is unique and with large dimensions between 90-105 cm. Big Bubble is influenced by the environment in which they hang. The design won first place for best new product at Design District Amsterdam 2013.
Witte recently launched The Big Bubble Coloured Edition.
